Negotiations between Afghanistan and Taliban leaders are advancing.
Pakistan has pledged its support to the reconciliation negotiations, a move welcomed by Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
Pakistan and Afghanistan wrapped up two days of meetings on Thursday during which the talks with Taliban officials were a major discussion point. Karzai and Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani led the talks.
At a press conference following the meetings the Afghan leader said, "I am thankful to you, Mr. Prime Minister, for offering support to Afghanistan's efforts for reconciliation. Indeed, Pakistan has a significantly important role to play in that and Afghanistan will welcome that role."
"We in Afghanistan are fully aware and recognize that without Pakistan, and without its cooperation in Afghanistan, Afghanistan cannot be stable or peaceful," Karzai said.
Pakistan is credited with creating the Taliban and assisting it to take control of the country after the chaos that followed the Soviet withdrawal.

Mr.Hamid Karzai,please be wise.Pakistan should never be allowed to participate in these talks between Taliban and Afghan govt.The welcoming of this move by President Hamid Karzai is understandable as he too is protege of USA.We know that he has welcomed this move by Pakistan only at the behest of USA.But then Hamid Karzai is the leader of Afghanistan, and he cannot afford to be foolish.He should keep Pakistan away from these talks and instead involve China and Russia and India in his talks with Taliban.Only then can Afghans have hope and see peace.

Pakistan hosted 4 Million Afghanis for 3 decades. Pakistan have every right to protect its interests in the region. Pakistan have a crucial role to stabilize
Afghanistan and the whole Region. USA and European countries now started to realised Pakistan’s Role.
India have taken advantage of it and done nothing except tried to create unstability in Pakistan through Afghanistan.
This is the reason India have no role in Afghanistan. |

| Afghanistan allowed Pakistan before in Afghanistan’s affair, today we are witnessing the result of that. all Taliban and Al-qiada leaders found Pakistan to be a safe house for them. (they are safeguarded by ISI) Pakistani gov. is back stabber and deceiver, in order to gain monetary fund from USA and also Al-qiada Arabs. Real Afghan never trust Pakistan.
